How to Draw Everything -#1

Number of sessions: 4, 3.0 hours each
Course Fee: $75 (Gold Member Fee: $65)

Description:

Maximum 12 Minimum 6

This class is for beginners as well as advanced students. Instead of subject oriented as in heads, figures, animals, perspective, etc., this class would be more inclusive; both of what the student is drawing and also the level of drawing that the student is at. That’s because the approach is the same no matter what you are trying to draw. This course would include everything from drawing faces to complex still lifes, Master copies, composition, working from photos and real life. Each four-week set would present a different set of challenges and the course is not necessarily progressive week one to four. Rather, the drawing problems presented are done with an eye toward benefiting a rank beginner as well as the advanced artist. There would probably be fewer handouts but more intense homework and review of such. Some of the material would be inspired by the instructor’s observation of what the class demonstrates what they might need.

The instructor will bring in various objects to draw and the student is encouraged to find similar items and sources at home to fill a sketch book which will be evaluated at the end of a four-week period. Cost of the four-week course is $65. The class is flexible enough to allow entry into the series at any point as the difficulty will be adjusted as it is determined what individual students need. The student will be encouraged to do a drawing a day at home because drawing is a skill set that can be learned by anyone, providing one is willing to practice. It is no different than taking music lessons.
